What is The Fua?

A meme is going around the internet, particularly in the Spanish-speaking world, which started when a drunk man from Mexico was caught on film talking about something he calls The Fua.

Incidentally, Fua is also actually my surname so I find this extra interesting.

Since it’s in Spanish, my brother (who is also a Fua) wants to know what the man was jabbering on about. So below is my try at translating what was said in the embedded video.

———

The narrator says that this person considers himself an errant traveller with the power to see the future and raise the dead.

Then he reads somebody’s palm and he says: “you want to be a bad ass but blah blah blah…”

Then it starts talking more nonsense:

—I can no longer be able to get The Fua. Ufff.

—And I’m going to get it because… because I have to get the extra… FUUUUAAA… trait! I go and get it.

—The Fua means when you get the characteristic from your stomach and you go do it.

—It’s just that I can’t anymore! I can’t anymore! WHY NOT?! FUUUUUAAAAA!

—FUUUAAAAA!

—I get the trait. I get the force. I get the power! That is the Fua.

—Because you do it, it’s not important what you are continuing to do. The most important thing is to give something extra… ffwww… THE FUAAAAAA!

—FUUUUUUAAAAAA!… means that one gives more/extra.

—It… it… projects into the universe! That’s it.

—When a person dies, it doesn’t stay dead. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Fua! Fua! Fua!

(Laughter in the background)

—And you revive it when a person serves the society.

—It’s when you give the Fua (thump).

—FUUUUUUAAAAA!

—When (something-not sure) is Fua, it’s the true Fua.

Back to the narrator: “Situations like this happens when you are sleeping. Unfortunately, some stories end with regret.”

Whew. It’s probably not a perfect translation but I hope that gives you an idea of what was said.
